LADISLAO'S CITY

A small group of fishermen, factors and guardians in 1888 gave rise to the first settlements built on land donated by the Odescalchi family to pioneers coming mainly from the central Italian regions. The name Ladispoli means "city of Ladislao" (Ladis-Polis). A way to pay homage to the generous prince Ladislao Odescalchi.
From those distant times the town has grown exponentially to become a dynamic center, favored by the Romans, well connected to the capital by a fast, efficient and economical railway service.​
